Lincoln T. Scott grew up in the Quad City metropolitan area of Illinois and graduated from Rock Island High School in 1993. He continued his education at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Illinois graduating in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree majoring in accounting. He attended Drake University School of Law in Des Moines, Iowa graduating in 2000 with a Juris Doctor Degree. He received his license to practice law from the Illinois Supreme Court on November 9, 2000. He then began the practice of law in Chicago as a staff attorney for a collections firm. On January 1, 2005, together with his grandfather, Robert G. Scott and Kenneth M. Collinson, he formed Collinson & Scott, P.C.

Lincoln T. Scott is a general civil law practitioner with particular focus on matters involving real estate, wills and trusts, probate of estates and bankruptcy. He also represents both public and private corporations including Blackhawk Bank & Trust, the Village of Milan and Blackhawk Fire Protection District.

Lincoln T. Scott is a member of the Rock Island County Bar Association, is currently president of the Milan Area Rotary Club and is a Paul Harris Fellow with the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.
